Enough drama for the day, let’s save some asses guys.
Meet the asses: two VERY bonded mules sold through Camelot to a kill buyer. You all know the schtick, funds are being raised to buy them from slaughter and ship them to a rescue.
A rescue I’m very suportive of (GERDA’s ANIMAL AID) is trying to raise the money to buy, and ship these guys to Save Your Ass Rescue who has agreed to care for them, and keep them together, if we can just get them there. They are sound, healthy and seemingly young.
The kill buyer is charging $1,250 for the pair. Shipping will cost roughly $700.
$850 has been raised so far and ANY amount helps. If the money isn’t raised in time, all will be returned.

I know y’all are probably sick of seeing petitions floating around, but I had to share this one.
Tom Davis is the biggest of the Bureau of Land Management’s buyers. He’s so big that more than HALF of all the wild horses and burros they sell go to him. And ProPublica reports:
Davis is a longtime advocate of horse slaughter. By his own account, he has ducked Colorado law to move animals across state lines and will not say where they end up. He continues to buy wild horses for slaughter from Indian reservations, which are not protected by the same laws. And since 2010, he has been seeking investors for a slaughterhouse of his own.“Hell, some of the finest meat you will ever eat is a fat yearling colt,” he said. “What is wrong with taking all those BLM horses they got all fat and shiny and setting up a kill plant?”
What’s more, Davis won’t tell anyone where the wild horses he has bought from the BLM over the last few years are now. His response when asked to? “Ain’t no way in hell.”
Sign this urgent petition to the Bureau of Land Management now: ”Stop selling wild horses to Tom Davis until you’ve investigated and are certain that he’s not slaughtering them and is abiding by the contract provisions requiring him to keep them safe.”

The move has hit a huge snag. The fight I had with my mom was the final straw I knew was coming and it’s thrown the move off course dramatically. I’ve had to start the move pre-maturely, and I’m so fucked up at this point that I am unable to go to work. I demonstrated this by pulling an “Office Space” and just not going to work.
As you all know- This doesn’t work so good IRL and I’m probably fired. This has pushed the financial stress to an all time high.
I have until the 25th to get everything important out of my house, and that includes THIS DOG.
I NEED MORE TIME: The original plan was to ship the dog to a friend out of state. Friend is moving to the Seattle area within a year so I would get to see my dog again. It means a lot to me to know where my dog is going and the idea of never seeing him again is soul crushing.
Thanks to my awesome choices I currently can’t ship him out right now and the funds probably won’t be available until I sell my dead car, something I can’t do until I make the big move on Saturday.
